A very Happy Towel Day to you all!
May 25th each year is known as Towel Day, a celebration of the life and times of Douglas Adams, most famously known for his Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. In the trilogy, the general intelligence and overall competence of a human being (or alien) was assessed by how easy it was for them to find and lay hands on their towel - for you see, "... a towel, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have."
Today, people all over the world celebrate Towel Day by wearing their favorite towel, quoting Douglas Adams' amazing oeuvre, and following that emphatic charge, "DON'T PANIC!" There are Facebook pages dedicated to the day, as well as a hashtag (#TowelDay) to show how you are celebrating. And of course, there are the amazing graphics and Google Doodles to profess our love for all things Douglas Adams.

25 Douglas Adams Quotes to Live By. My favorite is:
"The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it’s just wonderful. And…the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned."
